Lisa Gentile
Lisa first began practicing yoga when she was a teenager to help build up her balance and flexibility alongside her ballet training. Through the years, she frequently returned to the practice, but it wasn’t until 2020 that yoga became a consistent part of life at home during the pandemic. She decided to leap into a career change and dedicate more of her time deepening her yoga practice. She traveled to Costa Rica to begin her 200-hr Yoga Teacher Training and received her certification from Lila Flow Yoga in March of 2022. Musicality, strength, fluidity, and using breath to create more space in the body are at the heart of Lisa’s practice. She strives to approach each posture with mindfulness and focuses on the importance of listening to what the body needs in each moment.
Jamie Griffin
Jamie developed her vinyasa yoga practice more than a decade ago while she was in college. After dancing for 16 years, yoga felt like the perfect way to continue building both strength and flexibility while away from home. Beyond the physical benefits, she also noticed how amazing yoga was for her mental wellbeing through pairing breath with movement. Jamie graduated college and became an elementary school teacher in 2016. During her first year of teaching she decided to become certified to teach yoga to children aged 2-12. After a decade of her own yoga practice Jamie once again returned to the classroom and earned her 200 hour teaching certification at Rebel Yoga in Thornwood. She enjoys making creative flows that help yogis of all ages expand and find their breath while also enjoying a positive environment and great playlist.
